EDITING NOTES:
It was a pleasure to remaster this recording as it was already so good. Although, to my knowledge anyways, it's unknown if the commercial CD boot this recording is taken from is from the original master recording or whether there are any generations between it and the master source. Nevertheless, it is indeed a nice soundboard recording.
Possible evidence that this recording was not taken directly from the original source is some minor boominess and dulling of some frequencies that keep the recording from having a perfect clarity in the entire frequency range. All the same, this could be how it was original mastered and transferred.
In an attempt to improve the listening experience, I have made some altogether minor frequency adjustments to counteract a possible generational transfer or simply competent master and transfer. The overall tonal characteristics of the recording flucuates minorly 2 or 3 times throughout, of which I have attempted to make corresponding adjustments.
I also put Cactus and Bone Machine on their own tracks as it seems stupid to me to have them combined. All the other songs are seperated!? Anyways, save a few minor amplitude adjustments of about .5dB on small segments of the recording that spiked, no other edits were made to the recording.
I always thought this was the best live recording available of the original Pixies, great set list, performance and sound quality. Perhaps it is now a little better? You decide and hopefully enjoy, I sure do.
