"Released by a German label called Brilliant, Close the Door (And the Rest) is a 12-track release that features the same round of poor re-recordings that have circulated through several other discs from other no-name labels. Brilliant does not indicate that the material here consists of studio re-recordings. Presumably performed late in Teddy Pendergrass' life, these versions of "Only You," "Love T.K.O.," "Turn Off the Lights," "Close the Door," and eight others shouldn't fool anyone. They lack the energy of the originals, and the instrumentation is woefully inferior. Look for releases with more attractive packaging and the Sony logo."
