Description

Le plus petit instrument des orchestres de tamburica serbo-croates. C’est généralement l’instrument principal. Il peut être doté d’une corde double et trois cordes simples (prim/bisernica) ou deux cordes doubles et deux cordes simples (bisernica).

Annotation

Note that wikipedia is incorrect about an alternate name being "samica" that is a related but different instrument, a predecessor not used in the tamburtiza orchestra, but rather as a standalone folk instrument.
