Regularly releasing music under the moniker Bovaflux, Nullptr (null pointer) aka Eddie Symons drops ‘AFTRMTH’ on Sheffield’s Central Processing Unit following his debut LP ‘Optical’ on the revered label Detroit Underground back in 2016. A limited edition 12” release, ‘AFTRMTH’ is a body of meticulously mixed and mastered analogue electro work driven by Symons’ love for creating tracks physically on his synthesizers. Having already had his work compared to the likes of Gerald Donald, Symons latest EP continues to impress listeners, with tracks like ‘Polytopes’ and ‘Mothership’ being celebrated for the resemblance they bear to the likes of Dopplereffekt and The Other People Place. For anyone interested in Detroit techno and electro Nullptr is a contemporary producer worth paying attention to.
