Born in Mississippi, Frank Wright is one of the few jazz saxophonist achieving with success the straight-to-free-jazz leap.
Involved with Bobby Few and Alan Silva, he went to France in the late 60's, and eventually stayed in Europe until his death in Germany in 1990.
