Banda Zarape

Biografical notes

Banda Zarape was launched in 1988 with Alejandro Macias (Alex Macias) as singer, who was singer in Banda Zorro from 1999 to 2002, and later only worked as a singer-songwriter and today lives in Mexico City. The band went famous after signing with EMI and 1997, and integrating singer Saúl Canizales in 1997. In 1999, the band incorporated, as a bass player and singer, Manuel Vázquez who still manages the band in 2024
In 2002, the band changed its name to "La Ola Gigante de Mazatlán" and transformed itself in a Banda, but in 2005, it retook its original name and reorganized as a technobanda.
